Pro E Section View

Create or open a hallow ball in proe.

Does any one know how i can get a cross section view of a component in pro engineer in 3d mode there is a feature like this in solid works which allows you to easily view section views using planes is it possible in pro engineer. Open view manager and click the xsec tab to make sure the cross section is active. Click the display button again and click show x hatching.

Add view projection full view no xsec no scale done. Repeat the command and click above the front view to get the top view. Then click on the drawing to the right of the front view.

To display a more explicit cross section select the desired section name in the view manager xsec list then use the display menu to select set active in our example this clips the model to look like figure 2 you can choose which side displays with display flip and the graphics are much better than the old clip functionality. Select a center point for the view and orient the view as desired. Controls the format in which the view note of a newly created auxiliary view appears in the drawing.

Then go to v iew view manager and you will get the view manger window. These can be projected by pro e off the front view as follows. Click on the new button in the view manager dialog box to create a new cross section.
